In laser soldering, a highly focussed laser beam generates the required temperature with pinpoint accuracy directly at the soldering point without unnecessarily heating or mechanically affecting the surrounding material. In this process, EUTECT combines state-of-the-art laser and sensor technology with intelligent wire feed and integrated monitoring to realise solder joints at the highest level, both for lead-free and lead-containing applications.
A central element is the pyrometer-controlled laser power: a pyrometer measures the temperature at the soldering point in real time and the laser power is controlled by a controller that adjusts the target temperature ten thousand times per second. This keeps the energy input precisely within the defined range and minimises thermal damage to the component. At the same time, the Sensitive Wire Feeder (SWF) patented by EUTECT ensures a controlled wire feed that is regulated in terms of force, distance and speed, making the solder quantity reproducible and process-reliable.
